Text and Context is a series of essays that define the relationship between content and its aero-spatial environment. The essays span through a wide range of authors from Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. The writers discuss pertinent issues, which are the direct result of their environment. The particularity of this volume is its urgency as the essays address such issues as space which is important within present day discussions of migration, womens struggle for total recognition and acceptance in an era where the forces of change still have to come to terms with a populism that is sometimes blind to truth and to present day challenges that come with distinguishing between global and national cultures. Text and Context offers an interesting perspective on far reaching thematic concerns that have been reinterpreted from a fresh angle. The collection opens up fresh discussions on well known issues within the academia. The essays are highly selective and are recommended for students, teachers and the general public. ATHANASIUS A. AYUK is Associate Professor of Literature at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon and currently the Cultural counsellor at the Embassy of Cameroon in Washington DC, USA. His last book is Joseph Conrad's Tragic Moral Paradoxes(2013).He co-edited Globalization and the Frontiers of Ethics(2013) with Prof. Jean Paul Kouega.
