Beschreibung
Adopting a mixed method, this book examined different types of FLA (e.g., FL speaking anxiety, reading anxiety, listening anxiety, writing anxiety, achievement anxiety) in relation to strategy use, motivation, gender and proficiency level simultaneously in various Chinese EFL contexts. The findings are thus hoped to contribute to the literature on FLA in the nation- and world-wide English teaching and learning communities.

Dr. Meihua Liu is presently working at the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures, Tsinghua University, China. Her research interests mainly include EFL teaching and learning in the Chinese context, reticence and anxiety, EFL writing, and study abroad.
