Kafkas Jewish background, interests, and readings, and their relevance for his writings, are still largely viewed as marginal within the vast domain of Kafka scholarship. By taking into account new findings, theoretical approaches, and historical developments, the essays in this volume reconsider and extend our knowledge of Kafkas relationship to Judaism and Jewish thought.
