Beschreibung
A symbol of wholeness, perfection and complexity, androgyny has always enchanted people's imagination as much as it has challenged their values and principles. Starting from the premise that this concept is of growing interest nowadays, "Androgyny in British Culture" explores it starting from its origin in mythology and its definition in the field of psychoanalysis, and continues with an analysis of its representation in literature, arts and entertainment, presenting it as the controversial and fascinating subject it has always been.
