This book deals with the issue of the jurisprudential analogical reasoning (al-Qiyas al-Fiqhi) in Islam from a scientific perspective. It is a new reading that attempts to deconstruct the philosophical and religious structures on which Qiyas is established, depending on the tools of modern scientific criticism. It also introduces a new model in Qiyas that aims to solve problems that the modern Moslem suffers from and suggests solutions that are appropriate to the jurisprudential principles and the spirit of the age.

Dr. Sobhi Rayan a senior lecturer of Islamic philosophy in the Department of Islamic Studies, and the Chairperson of the Islamic Sciences Master's degree Program at Al-Qasemi Academic College. My research interests focus on Islamic Studies in various fields, such as: Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Philosophy of Education, Islamic Jurisprudence.
