Our Way of the Cross is an inculturated Stations of the Cross. It helps us to view the suffering of Jesus with the ordinary eyes of our situation especially those who are encountering the scourge of incurable diseases like HIV/AIDS and CANCER. It will also be a help to those who have to care for the sick. Indeed, this piece of work will further appeal to anyone who sees the suffering humanity and wishes to share in this predicament and intercede for the people to God. Furthermore, the reflections are meant to accompany those praying the mysteries of the Rosary. Those praying the Rosary may wish to use these intentions and thoughts before reciting the Hail Mary. This will also inspire people to compose their own similar ones. A human being takes the shape of the cross and this suggests their nearness to the cross. In fact they are the cross themselves!

Reverend Doctor Jerome Rono Nyathi is a Diocesan Priest in the Archdiocese of Bulawayo-Zimbabwe. He holds a Doctorate in Sacred Theology with the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy. Fr. Jerome is currently Spiritual Father and lecturer at St. John Vianney Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa.
