This book has contribution by the connection between the motifs in Gn 28:12 and Jn 1:51 as well as between Jn 1:51 and Revelation with eschatological perspective. In this book, John 1:51 and the motif of Jacobs ladder in Genesis 28:12, Jaesoon Kim makes conclusion that the motif of Jacobs ladder in Johns gospel and Revelation to present the eschatological tension between already and not yet. Jesus is the connection between heaven and earth as like the ladder, it advanced to the future second descension, because the angels ascending and descending relates to the incarnation, ascension, and the parousia of the Son of Man. From this conclusion, the eschatological interpretation of Johns using of Gn 28:12 and connection to Revelation can be possible.
Autorenporträt
Jaesoon Kim was born in 1973 in Seoul, South Korea. In 1999, he both graduated at Asia United Theological University and received an MDiv from Chongshin University. In 2009, he obtained his MTh in New Testament Study from the University of Pretoria and proceeded to obtain a PhD in New Testament Studies through the University of Pretoria.
