The book represents a collection of articles published in scientific journals. The core of the book is dedicated to the most recent advances in the biblical studies, both at the interpretative and archeological sectors. It contains a number of case studies dedicated to the most controversial topics and ambiguous issues of the biblical narratives. The author offers a number of bold interpretations and explanations, making use of the scientific methodology otherwise reserved for the study of Nature. In particular many prima facie purely religious instances are found to be invented for the sake of current political needs. Particular attention is paid to those biblical narratives which appear the ideological source for the present day political turmoil on the Near East.
Autorenporträt
Petar Grujic, FInstP, scientific adviser, retired. He graduated from Belgrade University and got his PhD degree at the University College London. His principal interests are theoretical physics, history and epistemology of science and religion, cosmology, history and politics.
