Beschreibung

The study explores the utilization of Biblical contemplative practice as a viable alternative to Eastern contemplative practice in facilitating neuroplasticity in adults who have experienced developmental trauma. There are 2.3 billion Christians in the world, that is, 31.2% of the worlds population. Given the advancement in research and the effectiveness of using prayer and meditation to heal the brain from developmental trauma, this study examines the possibility of using biblical meditation and prayer to heal the brain from developmental trauma. The study examines various definitions of meditation, including Biblical meditation. It explores the neurological impacts of meditation and developmental trauma. The findings from the study indicate that biblical meditation has the same components as other forms of meditation, with the exception that biblical meditation techniques are found in the Bible. The study postulates that biblical meditation has the same neurological impact as other forms of meditation. Biblical meditation facilitates neuroplasticity in the brain stem, midbrain, and cortical structure. This study explains how.
