Beschreibung

The Yearbook 2014 reports parts of the Congress of the Societas Liturgica 2013 where reforms of the churches liturgies where discussed. One of the contributes focusses on the Evangelisches Gesangbuch 1999 and its ecumenical performance. The hymnological part of the Yearbook lights up on criteria of the protestant song book and how they are established. Further contributions report on sensational findings of the first decade´s Reformation song books and on so far missing pamphlets.>

The 2014 Yearbook of Liturgy and Hymnology reports on some sensational discoveries made concerning the hymnals from the time of the Reformation. It also looks at the agenda work of the German Protestant Church and traces the possibilities of ecumenism. The liturgical part of the 2014 Yearbook is concerned with the future agenda work of the German Protestant Church. It pleads for remaining at a distance to the idea of the "anger of design" and calls for more emphasis on the nature of games as a way to develop agendas in the future. But it also shows that the Liturgical Book of the Protestant Church from 1999 as well as the Agenda of Occasions have become very ecumenical in nature. The hymnological part of the Yearbook concerns contributions from the history of the Protestant hymnal. One article looks at the new Dutch hymnal and the criteria used to put it together. Other reports take up the oldest editions and some sensational discoveries concerning hymnals from the time of the Reformation. Also, there is a reconstruction of a long-lost collection of hymnal pamphlets.
