Beschreibung
This is a modern exploration of Buddhism's steady but prominent movement into literature and film beginning in the early twentieth century. While not each novel or film boasts explicit ties to Buddhism, it is clear through the themes, characters, and overall content with The Fountainhead, The Lord of the Rings, The Thin Red Line, and Beasts of the Southern Wild, that Buddhist thought and influence is present. Moving chronologically through time, Buddhism within these works can be seen as increasing and illustrated quite clearly.
Autorenporträt
A 2015 graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Kristin Lunghamer has dedicated her studies to both Creative Writing and Religion. She grew up in the suburbs outside of Detroit, MI and hopes to pursue a career in writing and publishing after graduation.
