Beschreibung
Cognitive, environmental and personality factors are important pathogenic contributors to Duodenal ulcer. Duodenal ulcer patients are introverted persons. They tend to plan ahead, do not like excitement, and believe in ethical values. Findings of this study indicate that Duodenal ulcer patients are emotionally unstable and depressed, aggressive and tough minded, this means that this type of persons are anxious, worried, moody and also rigid and Duodenal ulcer patients experience higher degree of stressful life events. The male duodenal ulcer patients are emotionally unstable, aggressive, tough minded, internally controlled and anxious as compared to the female patients. There are several alternative strategies for studying the hypothesis that psychiatric disorders may predispose people to IBD.A psychosomatic aetiology for IBD would lead us to expect a diagnosis of depression or anxiety well in advance of the diagnosis of IBD.
