Beschreibung
This research will be focused on tattooed people in Turkey. The idea is to get a better understanding of Turkish people who have tattoos and problems that they face because of their tattoos. They are usually misjudged because of their tattoos and are labelled as Freak, problematic people or they got that tattoo just because he or she needs attention. I would like to focus on the kinds of encounters that they have in daily life. According to my interviews and literature review. 4 big chapters came up for the tattoo owners, which are; religious factors, cultural dilemmas, problems in worklife and gender differences. In this research, a narrative interview technique was used. I did this because I wanted to portray the peculiarity of the cases which plays a crucial role in psychotherapeutic context. I also tried to understand the real meaning of their tattoo and tried understand it as personal expression relevant also in psychotherapy. So far, there is not a lot of research was done about this topic in Turkey, this will be one of the first studies which connects psychology and tattoo.
