It is widely perceived that refugees are often affected by serious and severe psychosocial problems, which profoundly requires a special care and remedial or curative measures. The present study addresses this issue from the Somali youth refugees perception on the experience of pre and post sojourn to Malaysia. It also addresses challenges associated with their interpersonal relationships and the ways to cope with adjustment challenges.

Abdul Rawuf had his Basic Education in Kumasi,Ghana, and obtained his B.A in Islamic Theology, Saudi Arabia. In 2008, he was offered an admission at IIUM where he completed his MEd Counseling & Guidance. Having the opportunity of doing his internship with UNHCR, Abdul Rawuf developed interest in Refugee, Youth and Community development projects.
