Beschreibung
This book extract knowledge about two thinkers who came up with different approaches in development. Mwl J. K Nyerere approached development as it can be brought by people themselves. He started with political situation in a country, various political parties formed and the way the parties played their roles in the ruling system. Prior the emergence of multiparty state, there was single ruling party where all citizen had to work hard for the success of their nation. Then Nyerere said development emerge from the society and therefore treated society as family which work together for their development. On the other hand the book explain Karl Marxs ideas of capitalism. He treated capitalism in detail and the effect of it. From the capitalism there arose two classes of Proletariat and Bourgeois where rich classes exploited the poor class. Marx came up with the conclusion that the union of proletariat would overthrow capitalism and hence lead to socialism which could lead to development. The book is divided into seven chapters, both of the chapters focusing on Development.
