This collection is at the forefront of global, national, and local education reform movements. The volume focuses on current and future policy trends with several regional and in some cases global chapter contributions. Compile by the book series‘ editors, and combined with the number of leading scholar contributors, the volume will serve as a solid foundation volume in the relatively new Palgrave Macmillan book seriesConceived with a broad audience in mind, the target market of this publication includes graduate students, undergraduate students, researchers, educators, administrators, and policy makers. The book will have an international appeal. Almost every university in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Oceania will teach one or more of these degrees, and the book will be of particular interest to courses offered in English. The chapters will be written in an accessible manner and grounded in empirical researchThere is no direct competition with this proposed volume. A similar title includes David P. Baker and Alexander Wiseman’s (2005) Global Trends in Educational Policy by Elsevier, although this edited volume is now somewhat dated and does not offer the breadth and depth of the proposed volume. We are not aware of other books that match the international scope of the proposed volume making Policy Debates in CIDE the frontrunner volume with a niche in the comparative, international, and development education literature
