This book investigates the real meaning of Love in The Banquet, first examining the five discourses and the Socrates-Diotima narration, where Plato expresses his own way of judging Love. It presents the link between Eros, Logos and Paideia and the analysis of the relationship between Beauty, Good and Just implicit in the work. The ethical perspective of this study and its relevance to the resumption of the concept of otherness are highlighted.

Janaína Bueno Bady est titulaire d'un master en éducation avec spécialisation en études de genre. Elle est spécialiste dans le domaine de la linguistique et possède un diplôme de troisième cycle en psychopédagogie clinique et institutionnelle. Elle est titulaire d'un diplôme de philosophie - Licence. Elle a travaillé comme enseignante pendant près de 20 ans, ayant une expérience à tous les niveaux de l'éducation de base.
