Amanda Guillán is a member of the research group of The Philosophy and Methodology of the Sciences of the Artificial at the University of A Coruña. She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Pittsburgh for several months in the years 2014 and 2015, where she worked with Nicholas Rescher. Her main research interests lie in the philosophy and methodology of science; especially, in issues related to scientific prediction as well as prescription in applied sciences, mainly focused on the sciences of design.
