'Thinking and Acting. Perspectives on Practical Philosophy and Philosophy of Language' The commemorative volume 'Thinking and Acting. Perspectives on Practical Philosophy and Philosophy of Language' is dedicated to Matthias Kaufmann who is professor of ethics at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. His research areas include besides political philosophy, philosophy of law and philosophy of language. The volume focuses on these fields and shows the transdisciplinary thinking of the jubilee.
Autorenporträt
Andrej Krause studied mathematics and physics at Leipzig University and philosophy at Halle-Wittenberg University and at Munich School of Philosophy. In Munich he received his PhD in philosophy, in Halle he got his habilitation in this subject. Since 2016 he is adjunct professor for philosophy at Halle-Wittenberg University. His research areas are logic, metaphysics and philosophy of religion. Besides he is teaching mathematics, physics and logic at the Episcopal School Center in Leipzig. He occasionally gives lectures at the Capuchin Franciscan Institute of Philosophy and Theology in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Danaë Simmermacher studied philosophy and history at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg from 2003-2008, with a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. In 2016 she received her PhD at the MLU Halle-Wittenberg on 'Property as a subjective right in Luis de Molina (1535-1600). Dominium and slavery in De Iustitia et Iure'. Since 2015 she has been working as a research assistant at the Department of Philosophy at the MLU Halle-Wittenberg. Her research interests include medieval and early modern natural law, in particular Spanish Late Scholastics and contemporary political and social philosophy.
