Beschreibung
Involving young people in child protection is not only a legal obligation, but also a decisive factor for the success of protective measures. Jana Hensch addresses the question of how professionals in the German youth welfare office actually implement the participation of children and young people in risk assessments in accordance with Section 8a of the German Social Code VIII. Based on interviews with experts, the author shows how professionals understand this legal obligation, how they put it into practice and what challenges they face.
