Autorenporträt

Shizao Zhang has devoted his life to teaching mathematics and doing relevant researches. Up till now, he has published 8 monographs, 7 textbooks and more than 80 academic papers as well. He worked as an editor and a researcher, and taught more than 10 mathematics courses in secondary schools, colleges and universities. Because of his outstanding contributions to mathematics education in terms of disciplinary development, curriculum, and textbook compilation, he is honourably recognized by the majority of peers as the representative of Chinese mathematics education in the late 30 years in the 20th century. He retired as Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Yancheng Teachers University in 2006.
