This book originates from the genuine concerns of an actress, teacher and cultural manager in the face of the challenges and possibilities of the process of training theatre spectators, lived in experiences of "crossing" between the basic public school and the cultural institution, in dialogue with the concept of "mediation", explored by theorists in the field of theatrical studies and education. Deeply committed to the insertion of Theatre as an obligatory curricular component in Basic Education, a reality still far from Brazilian Basic Education institutions, teacher Patrícia Gusmão Maciel reveals to guide her pedagogical actions in favor of the promotion of learning experiences that prevail through theatrical practice, without detriment of criticism and reflection, and that are guided by "making theatre", without giving up the "appreciation", the "fruition" of different forms through which this art manifests itself.The clear and concise narrative and the beauty of the poetic images suggested by Patricia in her text, "boatman", should also be highlighted.
