Students negative attitude toward writing affects them and prevents them from writing effectively. This book emphasizes the idea that writing is a learned skill that can be honed by practice. The book aims at improving students writing skills. It tackles writing skills starting from simple sentences to essays. The main focus is sentence structure as it is the essence of writing. It also differentiates between two approaches of writing: process writing and product writing giving examples and exercises on each type. However, it suggests integrating both methods to produce effective writing. Thus, the goal of this book is to change students attitude toward writing and support them with the needed skills in order to produce effective sentences, paragraphs and essays.

Najlaa Aldeeb is an English Language Lecturer and researcher. She has twenty years of experience in teaching ESL. She has an MA in English Literature and an MSc in Translation Studies. Ms. Najla is a DELTA holder. Her research interests include college academic writing, Feminist literary criticism and translation.
