By sharing their observations, views and ideas and by confronting their insights and conclusions with other alternatives, they not only help one another to grow professionaly and personally, they also contribute to the discovery of yet unknown areas or dimensions as well as to the deepening of the existing knowledge.The ambition of the authors of this publication fits within that scheme of things. By sharing the observations, views and ideas presented in these contributions and by confronting their insights and conclusions, the readers can gain fresh insights into the field of education. The most interesting feature of this publication is that different educational researchers, with different backgrounds and outlooks, and from different perspectives, look at different aspects of the educational practice in different parts of the world. Milton A. George (Suriname) has degrees in theology, canon law, education, English and linguistics. He has worked in education in Suriname, Sint Maarten, Holland and Belgium. At present, he conducts research on the history of primary education in Sint Maarten, NA. He is now a lecturer at GROUP T - International University College Leuven, Belgium.
