Learning is an important human ability which remained little understood until very recently. The knowledge accumulated about human cognition has been crucial for the development of new curricula and the design of innovative class activities. Unfortunately, students often have very little awareness of the diverse cognitive strategies that can benefit their learning, which in turn is a consequence of the poor diffusion about these strategies.
