Beatriz Albuquerque was born in Portugal and won the Myers Art Prize: New Media, New York. She has a Doctorate of Education in New Media and Art from Columbia University, New York, a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA & BFA in Design from Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto.
