The trend in the world, particularly in development issues, is that people are encouraged to do things for themselves and supplement the effort of government in improving their living condition. in doing this there are many ways. waqf, that means an endowment, is one of such tools used in improving the condition of life of particularly the grassroots people. Waqf could play a vital role in helping the poor ones to get sponsorship for good education and it will go along way in doing that. Therefore this book is an M.A. thesis written on the significance of waqf in making a better tool for educational development in particularly Northern Nigeria. The book will be important to those in Development Work and studies, and will be of help and a model for those who want write a better academic thesis or dissertation.
