Beschreibung

The Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia has conducted a study to establish a clear framework that will guide and give direction, to the management of internship training of all students in higher education institutions (HEI). The guidelines will not only help HEI develop their best practices in internship programs, but also, provide recommendations for industries how to design and implement optimum internship programs. The analysis revealed considerable interest in internship programs for all the stakeholders, namely the students, general public, university administrators and the industry. Taking into considerations put forward by these stakeholders on the supply side (students & university administrators), demand side (industry & public) and best practices of existing internship programs, internship guidelines has been developed that is aptly titled A Guide for Planning, Implementation, Assessment and Advisories. The purpose of this guideline is to establish a clear framework that will guide and give direction, to the management of all internship training within the HEI and industry.
