This book takes a hard look at two very different education styles to see what the United States is really missing out onThough an academic with over 30 papers under her belt, Nancy Pine is primarily a hands-on educator. She has worked with schools & colleges both in the USA and in China for decades, and has taught every grade from kindergarten through graduate schoolPine reveals the strengths & weaknesses of the US educational system, and what they can learn from the Chinese system to have the best of all worlds. She neither predicts doom & gloom for the US educational system, nor does she exalt the comparative free range American students given compared to ChineseThe strengths of Chinese Education would be of interest throughout English speaking world – UK, Australia, etc Nancy Pine is in conversation to start an Education Blog on the Los Angeles Times page and is setting up an education blog on Huff Post.
