This book will help teachers and parents to know the different causes of absenteeism. Its only when they are aware of such vices will they be able to find lasting solutions affecting their children and students. Once signs or symptoms start appearing into these children parents or teachers should be able to find ways of curtailing them. This researcher hoped to conduct a research on factors influencing absenteeism at Chankomo Primary School. This problem was noticed some time back in 2016 when the researcher came across the school results analysis reports for the years 2013, 2014, and 2015. This became the case when the researcher expressed great concern and worries at what the pupils destinies will be since they value very much their cultures and rituals against valuing knowledge on the importance of education.

Justine Kabungo is a Zambian and a teacher by profession. He holds a masters degree in education. Has worked for 17 years in the Ministry of Education. Started as a primary teacher with a primary teacher certificate, then studied secondary diploma before acquiring a bachelor of arts with education. In 2017 he graduated the masters and a PhD study.
