Indian children are admitted in secondary schools at the age of thirteen which is the beginning of adolescence period of the boys and girls. Keeping in mind their age and physical development there is need to introduce sex education in secondary schools. The present educational programme developed in this research study draws heavily upon the materials developed and material published by various organizations. However, the material drawn from different sources have been adapted and reformulated to suit the needs and requirements of the school education curriculum and the cultural ethos of Indian society. This book has thrown light on the facts, that adolescents are unaware and misconception about sex. It will also help to reduce exploitation of women in the family. It is hoped that the book will be useful and effective in facilitating the introduction of sex education in the school curriculum. This is basic guideline for those who desire to implement such programmes in India. The book could prove a lighthouse in the area of Adolescence education.
