To date, several books and research articles have focused on the issue of syllabus design and curriculum development. This book aims to provide a critical review on the different approaches to syllabus designing. This is intended to offer a descriptive and critical interpretation of the different syllabi in the domain of language teaching and learning. It covers the major approaches from a historical perspective and discusses their features precisely. The focus is on the Notional Approach to syllabus designing, its distinctive features, and semantico-grammatical categories, and a critique on its merits and different works on the Notional Syllabus.
Autorenporträt
Nahdiya Khan has pursued Master's in English Language Teaching (ELT) from Aligarh Muslim University. She has acquired Gold Medal for topping in the same. Nahdiya has been the Editor of her College Magazine during Bachelor's. She has also worked as an English Language Instructor at AMS Institute.
