Beschreibung
Higher-qualification vocational training and bachelor's degrees in (technical) higher education prepare young people for jobs that are equivalent but not the same. This anthology explores the question of the extent to which competition exists in reality between academically and vocationally qualified individuals. The question is examined from four different perspectives: from a systemic, national and international perspective; an actor perspective of individuals and companies; and with a view to hybrid qualification options, which are also gaining in importance internationally. Overall, the contributions to the anthology illustrate the challenges currently facing German (vocational) education policy and what could be done.
