What were the first songs like? How did choral music as we know it today evolve? Where is it trending? The answers may well be heard along the shores of the Baltic. Once Europes largest country, its singing, more than any single factor, kept its identity alive, surviving even the years of Soviet rule. Autorenporträt
As a promising singer the author enrolled in the Vilnius Conservatory of Music, where she came to love choral music and conducting. She went on to earn an A.B. at the Lithuanian Music Academy, an M.M. degree at the Florida State University, and taught at the University of Florida, where she earned her Ph.D. in music education and choral conducting.
