Beschreibung
Composed in 1991 this London Sinfonietta commission was first performed by them in May 1992 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. Scored for orchestra or chamber orchestra the instrumentation comprises alto flute/piccolo, cor anglais, E flat clarinet/bass clarinet, soprano saxophone, contrabassoon, horn, piccolo trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, harp, piano and strings. Recorded on BIS CD 1119 by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conducted by the composer.
