Beschreibung
The book is based on a critical examination about the Role of Tatyana from P.I. Tchaikovsky's 'Eugene Onegin' to obtain the title 'Magistra Artium' at University Mozarteum Salzburg, Austria. The source material for that opera has been A.S. Pushkins famous identically named novel in verse. It reveals the troubles and pain, that Tatyana, the actual main character in Tchaikovsky's opera, has to experience. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Professor Reinhard Seifried, my musical Director, who studied Onegin with me. My great appreciation goes to Professor Eike Gramss, my stage Director, who helped me so much to sing my first "Tatyana" on stage. I appreciate the help of Prof. Dr. V.M. Vasyliunas who read and commented on the manuscript. And, of course, to my singing teacher Professor Lilian Sukis, without whose help this particular paper would never have been written. - Aiste Miknyte
