The awareness of environmental pollution has been sufficiently created. Very little attempts have been made to know different monitoring as well as the control measures. Various chapters of the book covering water pollution, air pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution and radioactive pollution describe in details about the sources and effects of pollutants. Control measures to mitigate pollution are added at the end of each chapter. Discusses the origins of pollutants, their effect on man and on the environment, and what methods are available to control them. To meet the requirement most of the content were taken from web sources mentioned in the reference.
