The Russian Piano Method is testament to a highly developed methodology for teaching piano in Russia, which encourages the student in a lively yet purposeful manner and has gained great recognition in international piano pedagogy. The approach of the two-volume standard work, edited by Julia Suslin, is deliberately based on training students perception of sound and is aided by focusing on listening practice, alongside the technical aspects of playing piano.
