"Eloise" is a valuable addition to the opera repertoire for young performers. Suitable for schools or music and drama groups, it has parts for singers of all ages and abilities and requires only a small instrumental ensemble. Its many memorable tunes are guaranteed to enchant both performers and audience. Based on a Nordic legend, "Eloise" tells the story of a princess and her quest to reclaim her seven brothers who have been spirited away and turned into ducks by the witch Volhek and the evil drogmires. Karl Jenkins verfügt über große Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Musikerzeihung. Nach einer klassischen Ausbildung an der Universität Cardiff und der royal Academy of Music in London arbeitet er als Jazzmusiker, unter anderem mit Nucleus und Ronnie Scott. In den siebzigern Jahren war er Mitgleid der progressiven Band Soft Machine. Seine Alben "Adiemus - Songs of Sanctuary", "Adiemus II - Cantata mundi" und "Diamond Music (Palladio)" waren weltweit außergewöhnlich erfolgreich.
