Beschreibung

Cotton Spinning is a process of converting bales of cotton from the field into yarn of continuous length that can used in the making of textiles. The process results in various qualities of cotton waste that are mostly used for non-woven production. There is however a last trash, willow waste, that has not been explored much for its end application and recycling. Mostly disposed in landfill or incinerated this waste is still a threat globally. The book unveils sustainable technique in conversion of this willow waste into handmade paper using Eco-friendly technique in production.Further value addition involving the traditional Indian dyeing and printing methods were applied and evaluated among college going students to check the feedback, that will help in extending this concept commercially. The idea will be a huge income generation for various spinning mill owners, cotton merchants, women self-help groups and in rural areas around the globe. The work is also like a revitalization to the concept appreciated and encouraged by M.K.Gandhi,as a means of increasing the revenue of cottage industries and reviving traditional crafts of India.
