Beschreibung
Designed to recreate the experience Vilanovas anti-museum for the 2026 Spanish Pavilion in Venice, this book serves as both a document and an artwork, an atlas of postcards collected by the artist. This publication expands on Oriol Vilanovas project Los Restos for the Venice Biennale. Reproductions of the postcards collected by the artist echo the physical display, while installation views document the pavilions reinvention as an "anti-museum." The book brings together critical reflections on Vilanovas practice as a meditation on memory, obsolescence, and the mechanisms of cultural value. A conversation between Vilanova and Joëlle Tuerlinckx further unpacks the projects conceptual and material layers. Ed.: Carolina Ciuti. Text: Carles Guerra, Catherine Mayeur, Pedro G. Romero. Conversation between Joëlle Tuerlinckx and Oriol.
