Beschreibung
Alpine mountains and contemporary artistic practice come together in this exceptional monograph on the Muzeum in the valley of the river Inn. The Engadin Muzeum is known for its site-specific installations and the monograph takes up this approach, using as its vocabulary amphibolite, lime, water, echo, twilight, sgraffito, suler, rock. Essays, dialogue, drawings, photography, and a short story shift the publication from a portrait of a building to an investigation into ways of seeing, building, fostering, and inhabiting. Photography: Hélène Binet. Text: Brian Dillon, Mareike Dittmer, Pawel Gozlinski, Siri Hustvedt, Alice Rawsthorn, Chasper Schmidlin. Architectural plans on 8 folding panels.
