Autorenporträt
Der Autor Nicolas Estrada (*Medellin, 1972) hat Schmuckdesign an der Escola Massana in Barcelona studiert, sowie an der Operer International Jewellery School (Ravenstein, NL) und an der Hochschule Trier (Idar-Oberstein, DE). Er hat viele Juweliertechniken erlernt, genauso wie asiatische ujnd südamerikanische traditionelle Techniken. Seine Werke können in Galerien in aller Welt gefunden werden, von Glasgow über Riga, San Francisco bis nach Barcelona. Seine Werkstücke sind handgemacht, personalisiert und transgressiv. Er ist als Herausgeber der erfolgreichen Titel "New Rings" (Promopress Editions, 2012) und "New Earrings" (Promopress Editions, 2013), die in mehreren Sprachen erschienen sind.
