The book develops the first reflections about Laban's studies and his crossings in Maracatu and the possible visibilities of the Laban / Bartenieff System, Labanotation and Coreosophy in this artistic manifestation of Brazilian popular culture, based on the concept of Festival Culture. Implies the immersion of the dancing body into new dimensions from Festive Culture, an element of Coreosophy, giving rise to new sensibilities, new visibilities of this dance body of Maracatu, as well as new poetics and aesthetics for this dance.

Researching member of the Research Group on Body, Dance and Processes of Creation (CIRANDAR) and the Group of Research Body, Phenomenology and Movement(Grupo Estesia/UFRN); Is a professor of the Postgraduate Programs in Performing Arts(PPGArc).
