Textile designer Frauke von Jaruntowski and cultural scholar and designer Gerhard Andraschko Sorgo, PhD, bring together international voices from art, design, and culture, who introduce their most cherished garments as vessels of lived time, as repositories of tenderness and defiance, as subcultural markers, as myth-laden companions in daily life. Their contributions, from 26 locations across the world, tell of aprons scented with childhood comfort, jackets turned talisman, fabrics that liberate the past, and textiles that enact identity.
