Dialogical action in art For thirty years Barbara Holubs socially and politically engaged art has linked urban development, social issues, and artistic interventions. As an accumulative process of participatory action, Holubs projects question the role of art in society, whether in the context of art itself, in urban public space, or in relation to corporations. This monograph offers a detailed view of Barbara Holubs extensive body of work as well as her projects with transparadiso at the interface of art, architecture, and urbanism, for which she coined the term silent activism.
