The research aims to provide a complete documented reference concerning Mashrabiya, with a new and logical arrangement of the subject, gathering together scattered studies, none of which have covered the topic in a comprehensive, integrated or sequential way. The research also seeks to evaluate and critique important contemporary projects that have used Mashrabiya, and to discuss to what extent the precise criteria of Mashrabiya and the theoretical research relating to it, have actually been implemented.
Autorenporträt
Hiba graduated with a BSc in Architectural Engineering from Al-Baath University, Syria, and MSc in Architecture from Near East University. She is a former assistant lecturer of architecture at Near East University. She continues her studies on architectural criticism as an academic researcher by working on scientific articles in journals.
