This catalogue of works is built on several years of research to show Adolf Frohners work in chronological order. Around 820 pages of images allow the intrinsic logic, as well as the fractures and points of friction in his development to be traced from the early sketches and exercises to pages influenced by Classical Modernism, Art Informel, and the return to Figurativism. Key works are shown alongside lines and paths that resulted in stylistic or thematic turning points. In addition, the comprehensive texts outline and contextualize the art-historical significance of Frohners drawings.
