Religion and Faith in Iran is a title that would have one assume that the contents of the book would contain at least one chapter dedicated to each religion that has contributed to Iran's glorious history and culture. The book opens with the historical background of Iran, along with the literature review. It deals with Zoroastrian doctrine, pursues medieval Mazdean religion, emergence and spread of Islam in Iran, religious minorities and their religious freedom and concludes with a discussion of the Bábí and Bahá'í religions, as Iran's most recent contribution to religious history. This is a fully academic treatment of the entire panorama of Iranian religion.

Dr. Ashaq Hussain is a Post-Doc Fellow at Centre of Central Asian Studies University of Kashmir. He holds Masters, Ph.D as well as net qualified in Islamic Studies, respectively, from university of Kashmir. His major areas of expertise and interest are Islamic Civilization, religious and Qur'anic studies.
