The book is the result of an extensive archival search of documents by Antonio Maceo and other personalities who wrote to him in his time. It is a novel research work that will put in the hands of scholars the location of most of the existing historical sources about the Procer.It constitutes a project that contains a total of 1855 documents from archives, of which 923 are by Antonio Maceo and another 932 documents that were sent to him. It is the first of its kind and form because of the originality it presents. It was registered in the Property Registry at the Center for Copyright (CENDA), with number 2191-2008.

Universiteitshoogleraar met 40 jaar ervaring in het hoger onderwijs, met internationale werkervaring. Hij heeft vier boeken en meer dan 20 artikelen over Antonio Maceo gepubliceerd. Hij is ook co-auteur van andere teksten.
